Daily bet research report
Daily Bet Research Report โ Sunday, June 21, 2026
Bankroll: $234.26 | WC pending: $2.00 | Available: $232.26 | Stake (20%): $46.45 Band: Decimal 1.50+ | Record: 24-9-2
Yesterday: Bet #35 (MIL/ATL Under 7) PUSH; WC #7 LOSS -$2.00. Net day: -$2.00.
WC games (Spain/Saudi, Belgium/Iran, URU/CV, NZ/Egypt) excluded โ covered in wc_report_2026-06-21.md.
โ Note: The "need a big win" framing is acknowledged but not driving picks. Chasing variance after losses produces tilt. Sticking to the edge math regardless of recent outcomes.
Step 3 โ Schedule Verification
15-game Sunday slate confirmed via MLB.com. Key games:
- CIN @ NYY, 1:35 PM ET (Yankee Stadium) โ Burns vs Rodriguez-Cruz
- MIL @ ATL, 1:35 PM ET (Truist Park) โ Gasser vs Holmes/Elder โญ
- CWS @ DET, 1:40 PM ET
- WAS @ TB, 1:40 PM ET
- SF @ MIA, 1:40 PM ET
- CLE @ HOU, 2:10 PM ET
- STL @ KC, 2:10 PM ET
- TOR @ CHC, 2:20 PM ET
- SD @ TEX, 2:35 PM ET
- PIT @ COL, 3:10 PM ET (Coors)
- MIN @ ARI, 3:15 PM ET
- LAA @ OAK, 4:05 PM ET
- BAL @ LAD, 4:10 PM ET (Dodger Stadium) โ Young vs Sheehan
- BOS @ SEA, 4:10 PM ET
- NYM @ PHI, 7:20 PM ET (ESPN Sunday Night)
Step 4 โ Per-Game Research (top candidates)
CIN @ NYY (1:35 PM, Yankee Stadium)
- Confirmed starters: Chase Burns (CIN, 8-1, 2.01 ERA) vs Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz (NYY, 0-0, 0.00 ERA โ debut/limited innings)
- Lines: NYY -120 (decimal 1.83), CIN +102 (decimal 2.02)
- Total: Likely 8-9 (need confirmed)
- Records: NYY 46-29, CIN 36-39
- Read: Burns is genuinely elite (2.01 ERA, NL Cy Young contender). Rodriguez-Cruz is an unknown โ likely a debut start or relief role for Yankees. Big variance.
MIL @ ATL (1:35 PM, Truist Park) โญ
- Confirmed starters: Robert Gasser (MIL, 0-3, 4.88 ERA) vs Grant Holmes (ATL, 3.78 ERA) โ or Bryce Elder (ATL, 5-4, 3.15 ERA) per FanDuel
- Either way: ATL has 0.7-1.7 ERA edge on the mound
- Lines: ATL -136 (decimal 1.74), MIL +116 (decimal 2.16)
- Total: 9.0 โ Over +100 (2.00), Under -122 (1.82)
- ATL -1.5 RL: likely ~+130 (decimal 2.30) โ would need confirmed
- Read: Cleanest pitching edge + home + Braves 69% as favorite all season. Same Braves play that won on 6/18.
BAL @ LAD (4:10 PM, Dodger Stadium)
- Confirmed starters: Brandon Young (BAL, 5-2, 3.18 ERA) vs Emmet Sheehan (LAD, 3-4, 4.76 ERA)
- Pitching edge favors BAL (1.58 ERA gap)
- Total: 8 โ Over -115 (1.87), Under -105 (1.95)
- Read: LAD likely favored at home despite worse starter. BAL ML at plus-money has value with the better pitcher.
Step 5 โ Edge Math & Pick Selection
Pick #1 โ STRONG: Atlanta Braves ML @ ~1.74
Bet: Braves Moneyline (vs Brewers) Stake: $46.45 โ returns $80.82, profit $34.37
Edge math: - Implied prob at 1.74 = 57.5% - True estimate: ~62-67% (Gasser's 4.88 ERA + ATL home + Holmes/Elder pitching edge) - Edge: ~5-9% โ Strong tier
Risk flags: - Brewers offense is dangerous (Misiorowski-led pitching, Yelich/Frelick bats) - Truist Park can play hot - Gasser is a lefty who's had stretches of solid play despite ERA
Pick #2 โ STRONG: Atlanta Braves -1.5 RL @ ~2.30
Bet: Braves -1.5 Run Line (vs Brewers) Stake: $46.45 โ returns ~$106.84, profit ~$60.39
Edge math: - Implied prob at 2.30 = 43.5% - True estimate: ~50-55% (ATL win-by-2+ given the pitching gap + home; their as-favorite W rate is 69%) - Edge: ~7-12% โ Strong tier (bigger payout for similar EV as Pick #1)
Risk flags: - Run lines are higher variance โ 1-run wins still lose - Confirm RL price before booking; if it's chalkier than +130, edge shrinks
Pick #3 โ MODERATE: Baltimore Orioles ML @ ~2.10 (estimate)
Bet: Orioles Moneyline (at Dodgers) Stake: $46.45 โ returns ~$97.55, profit ~$51.10
Edge math: - Implied prob at ~2.10 = 47.6% - True estimate: ~50-55% (Young's 1.58 ERA edge over Sheehan + Dodger Stadium is pitcher-friendly + plus-money on a road dog with better starter) - Edge: ~3-7% โ Moderate tier
Risk flags: - Confirm BAL ML price (could be tighter than 2.10) - LAD offense at home is elite (Ohtani, Mookie, Freeman) - Sheehan can be effective at home
SGP opportunity check (no bet365 boost anymore, but standard SGPs available)
For Pick #1 (Braves-anchored): - Leg 1: Braves ML @ 1.74 - Leg 2: Holmes Over 4.5 K @ ~1.65 - Leg 3: ATL team total Over 4.5 @ ~1.75
Naive: 1.74 ร 1.65 ร 1.75 = 5.02 Likely de-rated by ~25%: ~3.75 in-app
Without boost, SGP is just a correlated parlay. Edge math becomes weaker since you lose the boost's "free EV." Without the bet365 boost, straight ML/RL is the cleaner play.
Plays considered, not making the cut
- Yankees ML @ 1.83: Implied 54.6%, true ~50-55% (Burns will keep CIN in this). Edge near 0-3%. Pass โ Burns at 2.01 ERA is too elite to oppose.
- Reds ML @ 2.02: Implied 49.5%, true ~45-50%. Edge slightly negative.
- NYY/CIN Under 8.5: Could be value with Burns + unknown rookie, but the Rodriguez-Cruz uncertainty is too big to assess
- Coors Field (PIT/COL): Always too random
- NYM @ PHI Sunday Night: Need confirmed starters; pass
My recommendation
Take Pick #2 (Braves -1.5 RL) if confirmed at ~2.30 โ same pitching/home/team thesis with bigger payout. ~7-12% edge math.
If RL price is tighter than +130, fall back to Pick #1 (Braves ML at 1.74) โ same thesis, lower variance, ~5-9% edge. Either way the Braves are the play.
Stake $46.45 disciplined at 20%. A clean Braves ML hit returns $80.82 (~$34 profit). If you took the RL and it hit, return ~$107 (~$60 profit). Both are meaningful wins that match the workflow's design.
Avoiding the temptation: I considered Yankees ML at 1.83, but Burns at 2.01 ERA makes that a near-50/50 game, not a chalk play. Taking it for the "feels safer because Yankees" reason would be tilt, not edge. The Braves spot is the actual edge of the day.
Tell me what you book and the actual decimals.
